Comodynes Self-Tanning Towelettes: No Smell, Little Value

Those infomercial fans out there have probably seen the Comodynes Self-Tanning Towelettes being advertised on QVC or other home shopping networks. These tanning towels are being hyped as wonderful alternatives to the tanning sprays, lotions and moisturizers out there on the sunless tanning market nowadays. And while I believe that the Comodynes line of tan towels does offer some benefits, in the end, I found the price ($14 per 8-pack) to be way too high to rationalize purchasing the self tanning towelettes on a regular basis.

Don’t get me wrong. I actually think Comodynes has a good product on their hands here. The towelettes do not offer a strong, invasive odor like many of the other self-tanning products on the market and the color appears to last longer than most other tanners and bronzers. However, the big drawback to the tanning towels is that they are rather small and bunch up quite quickly, forcing someone, who wants a complete body/face tan, to go through a number of towels with each use. Couple this with the fact that there are only 8 towels per pack and before you know it, you’ll be reaching for your wallet more than Paris Hilton. Well, not me. I may not have been around the [tanning] block as much as Paris, but I know there are better bargains out there.
